ABSTRACT

This project research work attempts to explore the relevance of Accounting Information and its role in the management of a business organization. In the course of doing this, emphasis is laid on banking sector and to be able to establish that successfully, the researcher made use of Zenith Bank Plc, Agbor Road Branch as a case study.

Chapter one focuses on background of the study, statement of the problems, hypothesis of the study, objective of the study, significance of the study, limitation of the study, scope of the study and definition of terms.

Chapter two is on literature review, giving detailed explanation of accounting information and such things as what accounting is, accounting information, the users of accounting information, the component of accounting information system, how to effectively implement accounting, information system, key characteristics of accounting information etc.

Chapter three deals generally on Research Methodology, population of study sample size, instrument for data collection etc.

Chapter four purely deals on data analysis and interpretation with the findings. While Chapter five focuses on summary of finding, conclusion and recommendation.
